Arien Smith, MD, FACS, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified neurosurgeon at the Brain and Spine Institute of New York and New Jersey, located in East Brunswick, New Jersey. His practice includes treating both adult and pediatric spinal and brain disorders.

Dr. Smith graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2003 and completed a neurosurgical residency at the Department of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He further refined his expertise with an orthopedic complex spine fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Today, Dr. Smith performs surgical procedures at several top-tier hospitals in the New York and New Jersey area.
